Terra e Mare was born from falling in love for a unique land, for a simple nature, for the silences overlooking the sea. The slow life of the island out of season, the scents of the earth that open the heart, the kindness of its people, the real one, the dexterity of the Aeolian masters.
This is how Terra e Mare was born, a tribute to nature and the lines of Aeolian architecture.
Terra e Mare is a house surrounded by nature, olive trees, oranges, pomegranates, figs, pears, prickly pears, peaches, plums, mandarins, strawberry trees, aromatic plants and lemons. We have two neighboring lands where we harvest fruit and vegetables without the use of pesticides.
Terra e Mare was born from the restoration of ancient fishermen’s houses overlooking the sea, in the village of Acquacalda on Lipari. From here, the view opens onto the islands of Salina, Panarea, and Stromboli, which can be admired in all their beauty from the terraces suspended over the sea.
A careful conservative restoration project, carried out with natural and sustainable materials, has preserved the original identity of the buildings. The stone arches, the common thread of the design, run through niches and vistas all the way to the main door, where the sea is framed like a painting.
Volcanic stone, authentic materials, and contemporary design interact with the Aeolian landscape, creating an essential balance between memory and modernity.
